You'd have to go all the way out to the Aleutian Islands -- across the Bering Strait is Russia. And I don't believe Palin had a governor's mansion in the Aleutian Islands. Cindy McCain is an airhead.

They are about 60 miles apart at their closest points. However, these points are very sparsely populated, so not too many people actually go there. I'm not perfectly sure, but I believe that 60 miles is too far a distance to be able to see the other side.

From the outpost island of Diomede (AK) you can see an uninhabited Russian island. I doubt the governor is one of its few dozen residents.

Out in the Bering Straight there are two little islands, Big Diomede and Little Diomede. They are only a couple of kilometers apart. The international boundary runs between them. Little Diomede is actually to the west of Big Diomede which belongs to Russia. So the people there can see Russian territory . Sarah Palin has never been to Little Diomede. it has no airstrip and nothing to shoot. You have to get there by boat, and there aren't enough voters to attract a politician. If Palin can see Russia from her window/porch etc., then she doesn't live in the U.S.A..
