Transit visa at Frankfurt, Germany?

Hello I have a Portuguese visa and am connecting through Frankfurt to Portugal. Will I require a transit visa?

Travelling from Nigeria to Portugal and transiting thru frankfurt germany, visa type C (whatever tht means) will I require a transit visa for frankfurt?

Your type C visa (valid for Estados Schengen) will authorize the transit through Frankfurt where you will have to undergo the Schengen immigration procedures. The flight from Frankfurt to Portugal will be a Schengen internal flight without any immigration control.
