A small question about Schengen visa to Portugal?

Help with (Portugal) Schengen visa application?

I am trying to complete a Schengen visa application form to visit Portugal. I have been advised by a visa agency that Portugal does not issue multiple entry visas - only single entry visas. So I have two questions: 1) Question 24 on the form asks what kind of visa I am applying for. Would it be okay to request Multiple Entry anyway, and they can issue Single Entry if they want to, but at least I tried? 2) Q25 on the form asks me to fill in the duration the visa is requested for. Is this 90 days or 180 days? Please help. Thanks in advance.

Multiple entry visa are in general only issued to frequent business travellers or those who have family in Portugal and visit frequently. To be issued a multiple entry visa you should have a previous travel history (i.e. have been issued several single entry visa before).
