How long is the train trip from Warsaw to Lodz?

How long does it take from warsaw, poland to frankfurt, germany by train?

  • I will be leaving warsaw to frankfurt.I wonder if my best option is the train/bus/plane? is the scenery worth a ground trip? how many hours by train or by bus? estimate of how much the ticket costs? Am I going to pay for visa if we go through the country of Belrous? Please any information on this or tips is greatly appreciated (I am a US national by the way)

  • Answer:

Which Frankfurt, Germany? We have two of them. Frankfurt (Oder) is just at the Polish border about 85kms (53mls) east of Berlin and Frankfurt (Main) the metropolis of the federal state of Hesse. To Frankfurt/Oder the train is recommended as best source of travel. Eurocity-trains take 4h 48m for the 485km (301ml) distance. The regular fee amounts to €25 ($37) in second or €38 ($56) in first class. Direct trains are departing up to three times a day. The area of Belarus is not touched. Payment for a visa would not be possible, since visa for Belarus must be obtained in advance at their embassies except for air-travelers arriving at Minsk airport. http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en Frankfurt/Main is located 1193kms (741ml) from Warsaw. Direct trains are not available. The travel time with transfer at Berlin would amount to more than 10 hours, whereas a flight just takes 1h 55m. A bus is also available, departs at 3.00pm, takes 18h 10m, and costs 68€ ($100). http://www.veolia-eurolines.pl/eng/index.html

All i can tell you is that the trip is kind of boring unless you like farms and plains! so it depends on what you find interesting and boring. And you won't pass Belarus if you are going from Warsaw to Frankfurt. I suggest train because i love train rides especially in Poland where the trains are so relaxing because you get your own room!

Yres, take the train, but be careful to choose an inter-city one or eour-city- otherwise you risk not so nice quality and so much longer time of travel| All details you can see here: http://www.intercity.pl/?page=home_page and some details: http://www.intercity.pl/?page=search_connections&tss_from=1009&tss_to=1068&train_Day=24&train_Month=09&train_Year=2008&hour_1=0&minute_1=00&hour_2=23&minute_2=00&x=43&y=6 This is a website of only eurocity trains in Poland so you do not risk any other types. Well it is not a risk at all (if we r talking about security), but simply longer travel. It is all, if you are going to Frankfurt am Oder If it is about Frankfurt am Main- take the same trains but into berlin hauptbahnhof, and then simply a deutschebahn, here you have a schedule of departure from berlin into frankfurt: http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en?ld=212.92&seqnr=16&ident=2e.0422092.1222283145&rt=1&rememberSortType=minDeparture&REQ0HafasScrollDir=1 (i took only direct trains and after 13:30) to buy a ticket online for warsaw-berlin (or frankfurt) https://bilet.intercity.pl/irez/ and with german train u easily buy from website. prices are: berlin-frankfurt am main- about 107euro warsaw-frankfurt am oder- will be about 40euro warsaw- berlin- will be about 50euro the travel through Poland is very nice and pleasant, there are not many stops, but all is so comfy and there are nice views :) wish you nice travel!
