Are stores closed on Holy Week in Amsterdam?

We booked a flight to amsterdam and it just happen that we didnt notice it was GOOD FRIDAY until EASTER MONDAY.. Now we are wondering if its worth it to still go to amsterdam on this time.. Its our 3rd time there and were not actually planing on visiting museums or so We actually planned to do some shopping spree but then realized it might be closed on this days. Does anyone know if the stores are closed on these holidays? Any suggestions what to do instead? Thank you...

This will vary. Good friday some government run places will be closed, that may include a museum or two. Saturday everything will open, sunday almost everything will be closed. Monday it will vary, a lot of normal shops may be closed. Hit the websites for whatever you want to see or shop, there will be information on there. Good friday = goede vrijdag Easter sunday = eerste or 1e paasdag Easter monday = tweede or 2e paasdag.

On Good Friday and Saturday all stores are open. On Easter Sunday and Monday stores might have different opening hours. My guess in the city centre they will be open like regular Sundays: from 12 till 17 pm.
