How much will you need for a day in Amsterdam?

How much money per day do you think I will need on a vacation to Amsterdam ? Hotel already paid for.?

    That is really such a difficult question to answer. Really depends on what you plan to do. Restaurants. Clubs. Shopping. Entertainment. You could easily spend as much money as you'd like in Amsterdam. At the same time, Amsterdam can be enjoyed, truly enjoyed, on a very small budget, compared to other European cities and even many American cities. I would urge you to set aside $100/day. No one says you have to spend it all. I'd at least set aside $50/day but you might find that a bit tight. You will, after all, be on vacation and might want to splurge a bit. And there are temptations at the diamond factories, too.

Usually i advise people to consider taking about $125 / day - or at least be able to get that from an ATM. For general public transport around the city, food, drink, some nightlife and the occasional tourist attraction - with some cash for a souvenir - $100/day is a relatively safe bet (per person). The $25 is the "just in case" fund - as you might have something pop up that costs a bit more - and it`s better to return home with cash left over than to be in a foreign place for 2 more days with no cash whatsoever.

About the same as you would for a citybreak in London. Pint, 5 euros, cup of coffee, 2-3 euros. Fast food meal 6-7 euros. Simple 2 course in an out of the way place, 20 euros. Weed, starting at 8 euros/gram.
