How do i prepare for holiday?

I want to come for a short holiday visit in holland,What exactly i need to prepare and how long it should take?

  • Answer:

Some people just buy the tickets, get on the plane or ferry and do nothing to prepare. Others read whole guidebooks, front cover to back cover and make lists with the things they want to see, making reservations for everything you can make reservations for, and spending weeks or even months doing that. What I think you will need to arrange beforehand is your tickets, your passport, and if needed visa. And a travel insurance. And getting some Euros, about €200. Contact your bank to check that your bank card can be used in the ATMs in the Netherlands, and if you have a credit card, you might want to notify them that you will be abroad and might use your card there. If you will arrive in the evening, or after a long flight, you best make a reservation for the first night, specially if you come on a busy weekend. It is a good idea to own a guidebook, or read on-line travel information, but do as much or little as you like.

During winter you should bring warm clothing, during the rest of the year an umbrella would be useful. Comfortable shoes for walking, best if they are waterproof (like leather sneakers or so). A backpack (e.g. eastpack) to put your stuff in when sightseeing. If you want to go clubbing, don't take your nicest shoes (you will get beer on them). A small city guide is always useful.
