    I was planning to visit Greece next month but changed my mind because I checked with the embassy about the visa and they required a bunch of documents and complicated procedures that must be done by myself not the travel agent and it will take 2 weeks and there is a big chance the visa not be granted after all this. So I am going to Turkey instead.

no you don't need a visa. Athens is a great spot you should go up to the Acropolis ruins and you should take a 2 day trip to santorini its a greek island and its relay cool. And watch for the motorbikes they ride on the sidewalk. and one other thing if you go to the changing of the guards on sunday there might be someone selling pidgin food and taking pictures for a dollar be carful of your purse or wallet because he nearly took my moms. good luck!
