Could I find a job in Greece as a translator?

• I know 8 languages, 4 of which I can speak fluently and 4 of which I can understand. I was thinking about taking language courses to improve my knowledge in the language and possibly buy rosetta stone. As to career wise, a lot of my professors have been telling me to become a translator and major in international business. I am not sure how much they make. Also, I am aware of the economic situation in Greece but it will eventually have to be resolved. Maybe not soon but it will be. I want to move to Crete and I was wondering if I could find a job there as a teacher, translator, and possibly own a restaurant or work at a club/bar. Would do you think? Thank you.

  You're guess is as good as mine without knowing what passport you have. If you have an EC passport then the idea is fine. Why work in a bar for peanuts ? multi linguists can do better than that and there are possibilities in Crete, Throughout the EC for that matter. If your passport is from outside the EC you will find that it's almost impossible to obtain the essential work and residence permits.
