Anyone ever been to crete, greece?! studying abroad this summer?

  • hi everyone! i am studying abroad to crete this summer (mid june to mid july) Just wondering- if you've been there.. what's the weather like? unbelievably hot? what would you suggest i bring? anything you reccomend seeing while i'm there? any insight would be appreciated! im so excited!

    Well it's hot but not awfully hot. Take sun screan, your bikini and your best smile. Of course I've been to Crete many times (I'm Greek). I suggest you visit the beaches at the South part of the island!!! They are pretty amazing and nothing to do with the ones on the North part. Crete is the biggest Greek island so there are many things to do/see so start gothering infos... Knossos palace is a place you should see and try the local food!!!!

You can come any time you want in Greece is the best country in the world,you can bring only your clothes,in the summer the temperature in Crete is 32-38 and more (celsium)degrees,you can visit the ancient city of Knosos,you have to be ready for a lot of enjoyment,you don't need to bring swim wear you can swim naked it's not illegal.Fore more information e-mail me.
