  • Answer:

Write who you are, in full detail such as first, middle last name. Residence address, work address, what type of work you do, ID or Tax ID or social security number or all of them, contact telephones, an email address, your birth date, all of your personal information. Write who the person you are inviting is, their full name, ID card number, tax id number, contact phone numbers, their work address, the duration of the visit, the places he/she might visit together with you and most importantly, the purpose of their visit. You will also have to go to your town-hall and obtain an affidavit of support, which is an official declaration that you will take financial responsibility for your friend during his stay in Greece. Then send the original and a copy to your friend. He will have to forward both documents to the Greek Embassy in his country. The Embassy will keep the copy and hand the original back to your friend with the visa, if approved, to be presented to the Immigration Police when arriving at Greece.
