Has Anyone Else Done this..?

Easyjet flight overweight & asked to volunteer to stay behind & get compensation has anyone else done this?

  • My trip from Corfu was overweight and at the check-in the girl asked if we would remain behind another day. For this we would get free hotel accommodation/meals/refreshments/2 phone calls/cabs to and from the airport plus 250 euros each and speedy boarding on the next flight. We have now stayed three days, has anyone else done this and did they get 250 euros for each day?

Sounds like quite a good deal - unless you have to be back at work the next day! I've not heard of this before but it sounds like they are being quite reasonable.

never heard of Easyjet to do this before but other big airlines do
