How many cigarettes can I bring back from Majorca?

Can I bring cigarettes back from Greece In my suitcase?

  • I posted this question a few months ago, but I did not get very informative answers. I am 16 and I fly to Greece in 3 weeks. I would like to bring some cigarettes back as a present. But I am uncertain about it. Is it ok for me to bring one carton back in my suitcase? Or would I be breaking the law? I would only bring one carton back and it would not be in my hand luggage, would I need to declare it at customs when I return home?

    Actually you can't at 16, but you can get away with it. Upon customs inspection it's better to tell them that you have them instead of finding them in case they check your luggage. You could also get 2 cases if you do not have any alcohol with you.

i don't know if you are breaking the law..my guess would be yes because you are underage.. i did it when i was 17 and nothing happened.. i brought 2 cartons with me to the us. I am an adult now and i am still doing it and the last time i brought 3 cartons with me as a carry-on. Never encountered any problems.. I wouldn't advise you to do it though.. Good luck

the Greeks are very laid back...one or two cartons will be fine and don't declare them...put them in your case and say nothing...you won't be stopped. shame you weren't 18yrs old cos then you could bring back 3,200 for personal use as Greece are in the EU.
