What are the major imports and exports of greece?

  • what are the major imports and exports of greece?

  • Answer:

The above answers are correct but you have forgotten a new trend in Greece: importing brides from eastern european countries, like Ukraine, Russia, etc. There has been even a new movie about this phenomenon: Gambroi, meaning "Grooms. It is the story of the people of Zacharo, a village in Peloponnese that faced a serious problem: there were not enough single women in the village, so the male inhabitants had to move to other towns to find a bride. The mayor of Zacharo had a brillant idea though: to travel to Ukraine and find brides there. The people of the village liked the idea of the mayor and, soon the first mass import of foreign brides to Greece took place. Let's hope that the Ukranian women will adjust to the Greek way of living and they will live happy together with their Greek husbands.

All of the above are correct, but lets not forget that True FETA is ONLY made in Greece! Not even all of Greece, only in certain designated areas of Greece. It has received the same protection as Champagne (from the Champagne region of France, where everything else is called "Sparkling Wine"), Genoa Salami (from Genoa Italy), Gouda, Edam, Scotch (Scotland obviously, lol), etc... The name can be used outside the EU, however it is usually referred as "White Cheese" being that the composition of it isnt true to the real Feta making process, only used by those designated areas of Greece.
