What the weather like in Corfu from 25th October to 29th October?

  • I would like to travel to Corfu from 25th October to 29th October. However, as I've read from some websites, the weather at that time will be cold, dark and the beaches are deserted. I cannot go for other time of the year because of personal plans. Therefore, any one have ideals about what the weather like in Corfu from 25th October to 29th October? Is this the right time to visit Corfu?

However, in general the past years the weather had been sunny and quite warm during the mid-day but cool and possibly chilly in the evenings. Most tourist establishments are closed or closing down for the season, so there will not be much to do at evenings. Yet there are some places that stay active for a bit longer after that time but not many. I would suggest to go to places that are close to Corfu town and those are Gouvia and Dassia. In Dassia the Chandris hotels stay open for a bit longer after the time you have in mind and in Gouvia there is still activity too.

The weather is very changeable at that time of year. Yes the beaches will be deserted because most of the tourists will have been long gone. This can be a plus though as there will be more room for you to stretch out. Depending on where you are coming from the temperature might be just right for you to take a swim. Many people swim in the seas around Corfu during the Winter. Some say that the sea at that time can be warmer than at Easter.

The summer will be over. Expect rain 50% of the time. Tourist resorts will be closed by then. There will be limited restaurant/cafe availability outside Corfu Town (Kerkyra). In town everything will be open. After the tourist season ends the locals may get back to anti austerity demos. Last direct flights will be for return mid october. We went first 2 weeks in October last year so above is our experience. Out of town places start to shut up after end september

That is absolutely impossible to answer. Have a look on some weather websites like wunderground for historical weather data to get an idea of what it might be like.

Expect some rain 50% of the time and about 25°C. Maybe you should take into consideration warmer Greek islands like Crete or Rhodes.
