In today's market jobs are very hard to get, particularly in Architecture as the building and contracting trades are at a standstill with a lot of old AND new houses in the market. I would not be very optimistic, bur search the net for architectural firms in the particular area you are interested in (North, South, East , West, Mid-West etc) and make some inquiries. also do not forget that in the US architecture is a specialized field as well, with architects specializing in schools, hospitals, factories, commercial, shopping centers, airports, and believe it or not...parking lots and buildings.
