Do you have to pay taxes on the car you send overseas?

I want to send an american car to greece and not pay a lot of taxes-what do I do?6 months open 6 months closed

does anyone know if parts for toyota corollas are interchangeable in greece?

It is such a waste of money for you - and the fact that this car 'corolla' is not new - makes it even more of a waste of money!. Why would you do this .... just buy a 2nd hand car here. I do know of someone with a typical American car here - they can't drive it as they must leave the country with it or change the number plates! Please note Greeks are 'well advanced' in buying new cars - as soon as a car is off the production line - you'll see it within a few days in Greece (even in the small towns). Every other ad ion tv is either for whisky or cars .... do yourself a favour and leave the car in USA and buy yourself a small car here- it will work out the same money.
