How can i find a job in denmark while I'm living in the UK?
-
Just a simple job in Copenhagen such as waiting tables or working in tivoli. Something I could pay the bills with! Also, does anyone know how i can secure a flat without a job? Which do I have to get first? And would a full time bar/waitress job be enough to pay for a flat in copenhagen?

Answer:
You should look at the copenhagen post online. It is an English paper with jobs and apartments. It is pretty expensive but I have met lots of Brits working in pubs there and paying the rent. The minimum wage is pretty high. I think you will have to live in a home share though. Me and my husband had a really hard time renting an apartment. We got lucky because we got something throught a friend of and friend of a friend. You can probably look up some of the touristy restaurants online and apply that way. Try the Hard Rock cafe for one and lots of Brits seem to be working in the restaurants in Tivoli. I think you if you can secure a job then you should start looking for a flat but if you just go there then you will need a place to stay. Good luck!

try looking at jobzone.dk they have a lot on there. Tivoli is only open for another couple of weeks , then it re opens in may. All the restaurants in tivoli are independant so you would need to look them up independantly. however you will need to speak Danish to wait tables. Bar work you may find as you can find a few where you can speak english. Also you will need a work permit before you can start working it is very hard to do it with out one. try looking here for some help with the things you need before you come here www.workindenmark.dk........and this one .....http://www.denmark.dk/en/menu/StudyInDenmark/ResidenceWorkPermit/..........................................................................It will be a bit tricky to find an apartment ..try some of the sites above for help other wise most of the sites are in danish. you could try www.cphpost.dk hope this helps

Well I don't live in copenhagen but on Jylland and I own a cleaning company. I could help you over around Århus. With the salary we pay you can get a flat in Jylland cheaper then cph, working full time. I can also help with links on flats if you are interested in this area but in cph its way more expensive, I mean way more. However you still have to have your work visa at any job you work in Denmark period.

How's your Danish? That's the place to start--unless you want a cleaning job or work as as street performer.
