A foreigner with aspirations to break in Denmark's film industry?

• I am an aspiring screenwriter, who is very interested in the film industry of Denmark. I have prospects to become a writer for Danish filmmakers and make my own contribution to the cultural progression of movies in the country. Yet, I have to admit I am not so familiar with Danish film industry itself and how things work there. So, I have a few questions to ask and hope to seek advice from the Y! Answers community. What are conditions in Danish film industry for a foreigner to start a career of a screenwriter in like? In other words, is it possible for one to break into the industry? If I need a degree in a film-relation major, should it be from a Danish university or any other of Europe? Is it very difficult to gain an access to already established professional filmmakers of Denmark? In addition, what are some of the most valuable web resources that provide more elaborate information regarding the film industry in Denmark?   Most studios are sensible, and look at the persons qualifications and experience, if one is lacking and you show promise then you stand a good chance. Denmark has a problem with qualifications from other countries, many people find that they need to convert, to a Danish equivalent, some times this is just a short course others can be a lengthy process. As with most media professions a good portfolio is paramount, if you don't have this then you may find that getting into a company through the back door, such as working as a cable runner, then advancing that way, another option is getting yourself known, by the right people, but this is more hit and miss. Submitting work, this, like sending manuscripts to publishers can be a demoralising task, getting many rejections but if you are good and lucky then you may get something published, its is the same with the film industry.
