Antwerp Central Train Station?

Can anyone verify that the Antwerp Central Train Station has luggage storage facilities (either staffed or coin operated) for day usage? A post here of several months ago implied that recent renovation included a storage area, but the answer was not clear. Also, do you know if it is convenient to use public transportation to the city center - or is walking distance? Thanks for your insights.

Answer:
As said there are lockers to put luggage in, there is also a manned place to store luggage. Everything is close, you're in the centre of town. Depends on how far you want to walk. It's 20-25 minutes to walk to Groenplaats/Cathedral/Grote Markt(but you walk through a long shopping street in a nice surrounding. There is a metrostation at the station itself, a large busstation nearby (Franklin Rooseveltplaats). there are trams too. the subwaysystem isn't really big and there are only a few lines. http://www.urbanrail.net/eu/ant/antwerpen.htm Diamant is at the Station

Yes indeed we have here a luggage storage(boxes also big boxes available for big suitcases) with coins and there for electronic locked easy and at walking distance downstairs.
