Call the embassy. The laws change daily. It depends what country you are from also. The green card only helps you get back in the USA. I know for sure that Senegalese people need a transit visa for Belgium for instance. I used to work for 3 airlines. I also had a problem in France when I had a green card. Air France didn't bother to check if I needed a visa. I was almost send back. Like, I said, call the embassy before you go anywhere. You don't want to got through the hell I went through.
