    There's 3 choices at my daughter's school here in Belgium. They can have a hot meal wich is potatoes, meat and veg with gravy. Sometime there is caulifower cheese or a pasta dish. On Thursday it's vegetarian food. They can have soup only. And they can bring their own packed lunch too. They can have the soup only and bring their own packed lunch too. Now all you got to do is find out what the school dinners in Canada are as I have no clue on that one :-)

If you normally take you own food my school provides soup (€0,50 for à volonté) for those who want it. Drinks, orange juice, water, Cola and Sprite (Cola and Sprite not on Mondays and Thursdays) 0,50 apiece. There are also smossen (some sort of a long sandwich) provided for €2,5 You can also choose to have warm meals everyday, which I don't do so I have no idea what it costs. Or you can buy a ticket to have one day a hot meal for €5, I guess.

I assume different foods being from different cultures.Also Canadians eat more processed and artificial foods.
