You might check into the Grand Caimen Islands. We have been twice, now, and like it very much. Although it might be a little more expensive then Cozumel. We found plenty to do on Cozumel and the price was right, but the Caimens are much cleaner and we felt much safer. Good luck in your search and have a great time wherever you choose to vacation.

The USVI are beautiful. St John is 2/3 rd National Parkand has 39 pristine beaches. You won't find any wave runners, banana boat or jet ski here. What you will find is snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, sailing ,kayaking, hiking, sunbathing and swimming. Many visitors rent villas/homes and provision the house themselves. (buy food and beverages) Advantages are you have a house for the whole family instead of a room, you save money on meals and many of these rentals have pools, hot tubs, washer and dryers. check out this site. http://www.vrbo.com click on Caribbean or just search villas USVI If you want a resort type vacation the best for families and reasonable check Dominican Republic or Rivieria Maya in Mexico. They have all-inclusives and plenty of water sports. I will be truthful, there are so many nice places to go but it really depends on your budget. I don't know what reasonable means to you. $4,000, 5,000 or 6,000. I don't know where you are flying from. Airfare does alot of damage to your budget, how many in your family and how long do you want to stay. Do you all have passports? Here are a couple of websites. Go for the all-inclusives, with a family it's expensive to eat out all the time. http://www.applevacations.com http://www.libertytravel.com http://www.cheapcaribbean.com Good Luck and enjoy)

Curacao is a perfect destination for a family vacation, swimming and snorkeling. The island has many beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters, and most snorkeling and diving spots are located right of the beach, so no need to take a boat for some good snorkeling. The island also has a variety of other activities to keep the whole family busy. The Kura Hulanda Museum, located in downtown otrabanda is one of the best heritage museums in the world. The Curacao Ostrich Farm is the largest ostrich farm outside of Africa. Here you can see, touch and hand feed ostriches ranging from new born to full grown. The Curacao sea aquarium, with the dolphin academy on site and the sea lion club on site is also a very worth wile visit. also don't forget to just visit the downtown area of Punda and Otrabanda. Boat trips to the small island of shore can also be very adventurous. http://www.curacao.com
