What are the Sandals Resorts like in St Lucia and Antigua?

  • I am thinking of staying at the Sandals Resort in St Lucia (Grande St Lucia, not the others) or else Grande Antigua. Can you describe these places and give your opinions? Any tips? Looking for information like: 1- best months (end of Feb, May, Oct, or Nov... looking for sunshiny, clear skies, not cloudy) 2- are they party places or kicked-back 3- activities (in and out of resort) 4- weddingmoon/vow renewal info is helpful too 5- which has best beach All information/advice is greatly appreciated! Thanx.

I love Sandals! I've been in all of them in St. Lucia and I have to say they are all exceptional. Halcyon is small and intimate, Regency reminds me of a jungle (the bluff is amazing, with its own restaurant and butler suites) and Grande St. Lucian has great beach (calm sea) and Rondoval suites (very romantic)! Even if you stay in one, you can visit the other two in the island and use their facilities for free . Try Kimonos for sure, the chef is very entertaining! In Antigua there is only one, but it is my favourite. I prefer it from the other ones because it kind of feels like two resorts! One is the high-rise med village with suites that have sea views and the other one is the Caribbean village that is low-rise and holds most of the entertainment. The Barefoot restaurant has great food there and my Gosh, the cocktails at the bar are yummy! I had Coconut Crush (something named like that) every single day (well 2-3 times a day). The beach is very good as well! What I love about Sandals is the music. They always play Caribbean music at the hotel. And the food!!! Activities: well... everything really, windsurfing, tennis, snorkelling, scuba and golf in St. Lucia. Regency
