Is it better to take a cruise to the Caribbean or to fly?

If you are looking to stay on the Island, you should just fly directly there. Most cruises will be round trip. I cruise the Caribbean often and enjoy it. The ports of call are great. Staying in one place can be limiting. If you are on a poorer island and staying in a hotel complex you may not wish to leave the area. Cruises offer unlimited entertainment and food. The food on a cruise is better than an all inclusive hotel. I am prejudiced--I sell cruises, but I have traveled enough to have a valid opinion. Wherever you go--never go anywhere alone-travel in pairs and be aware of your surroundings.

I've always flown, preferring to spend all my time at the destination. I don't like the thought of a cruise. In the recent past there have been incidents of flu spreading to everyone on board. I haven't forgotten those people that went missing while on cruises, I don't trust that there will be adequate security on board ship and have read employees on passenger vessels can be of questionable character.
