What is the best spot for a relaxing beach vacation late March to early April?
-
Looking to go away with my husband the last week of March/ first week of April and we need some recommendations. We'd like to go somewhere tropical. I've already been to the Bahamas and loved it but wonder if there is better out there! Also would like to take weather into consideration. Is the ocean water warm at this time? Rain/general temperatures at this time period would also be helpful. hanks!

Answer:
Barbados is a beautiful island. Lots of lovely scenery and so much to do, morning noon and night. In Barbados you can never get bored because there is something for every type of person to take part in. Barbados is also romatic. Activites for kids and older ones…you will not regret visiting Barbados! The island has great beaches and is wonderful for shopping too! http://funbarbados.com/ http://www.barbados.org/ http://www.visitbarbados.org/Splash.aspx As it relates to accommodation, there is a lovely resort in Barbados called The Barbados Beach Club. This is along the South Coast and has a lovely beach view. http://barbadosbeachclub.com/ The Barbados Beach Club is an all inclusive resort which offers breakfast, lunch, after noon tea, dinner, unlimited drinks, an exercise room (gym), pool aerobics, snorkeling, scuba diving lessons, windsurfing, Hobie cat cruises, beach volley ball, games room, free shuttle service to and from the main town and soooo much more. The activities that are included in this all-inclusive package are astounding. http://barbadosbeachclub.com/recreation.cfm The Barbados beach club has 3 restaurants on site and one of them is buffet the other two are a la carte. The two a la carte are seafood and the other is Italian. http://barbadosbeachclub.com/facilities_dining.cfm This is a wonderful resort in a wonderful island; you should come and explore it for yourself my friend. They also have a special that started December 16, 2009 and ends April 14, 2010 where you get 25% discount off the all inclusive rate: http://barbadosbeachclub.com/special-details.cfm?specialID=14571 For more information about the price for the time period you are looking at or any other questions you may have then contact them below: http://barbadosbeachclub.com/contact.cfm Have a look at the links that I gave you. Hope I helped! ♥ P.S This is a really nice hotel in a great island and I have stayed at the hotel twice so I can tell you that it is a great and affordable beach resort!

If you have less than a full week, a priority should be where you can fly to without transfers. You don't want to waste your time in airports on layovers, or worse, dealing with lost luggage or missing your connecting flight. I'd suggest Aruba, Puerto Rico, or the Cayman Islands. Some of the smaller destinations are great (for example, British Virgin Islands) but would require a plane transfer. Aruba is the farthest south (of my suggestions), so my guess is the water would be warmest there -- but probably the temperature would be more than fine anywhere in the Caribbean. Enjoy your trip!

The Riviera Maya is just what you are looking for. The ocean is so warm, and there is rarely any rain during that time. Stay away from Cancun, the time you are talking about it spring break and the college kids run wild. Try Playa del Carmen, Tulum, or Akumal. I attached a link with a lot of pictures and information. There are so many fun things to do in the area I thing you will really enjoy it.

A tip: If you can wait two more weeks, you won't be booking during the "high season" when prices for airfare and lodging often triple (mid-December to mid-April). You can get a much nicer place for much less money and use the savings for romantic meals and fun activities, tours, etc. You'll save a LOT of money if you wait just a few more weeks. Hope this helps.

There are several, exotic, amazing places to stay in the caribbean but i really recommend staying at the island of Turks and Cacos. There are many, luxurious hotels, but i prefer the Grace Point hotel. It is a 4 1/2 star resort. I hope you enjoy your trip! wherever you go!
