All depends on what you want and your budget. Do you want to party and be around young people? Try Carnival. Do you want an older crowd and less kids? Try Princess. Do you have young kids and can spend a little more? Try Disney. There are also many other great cruise lines that offer all different experiences. You need to be more specific.
Depends on a lot of variables. Personally, I like Holland and Celebrity, but they may be totally wrong for you. Without further details, we can't really make any recommendations. You might want to check out CruiseCritic.com. Click on "Cruise Styles" at the top of the page for descriptions of the demographics on the different ships/lines. If you click on "Boards", you'll find discussions about all aspects of cruising.

We have cruised with Carnival many times and been very happy every time. They have reasonable prices..... nice ships.... good size cabins..... decent food..... decent entertainment..... nice itenerary. They seem to us, to offer a decent value for the money. But that is us! One thing you do need to remember..... cruise ships basically only see port cities, and the activities they offer. So you should look on the net, at each of the cruise lines web sites. They all have pictures of their ships and what they offer. After all, you spend the majority of the time, on their ship! What you will see at a "port city" is minimal. You are only there for "hours". There is only so much you can see in that short of a time frame. So take the time to do your research so you pick a ship that will offer what you would enjoy most.....on their ship. Some have more formality then others. Some have more physical activities then others. Some are for relaxation and sunbathing..... some are for partying harty. We found Carnival had a nice mix of all of it. Not a single focus of any of them. We like a little bit of everything.... Carnival fits that for us, at a price we can afford. While your in their websites..... look to see the "stats" on the ships. Older ships sometimes do not have stabalizer bars. (They look like wings on a plane, that come out of the bottom of the ship under the water... so the ship has resistance against rocking left and right.) Steer clear of these, if you are at all prone to motion sickness. Once you pick your cruise line and your ship..... try to pick a room that is in the middle of the ship (From top to bottom) and the center of the ship (From front to back). There is the least movement in these rooms. (Hold your hand out, flat. Rock it front and back.... see the middle of your hand does not move as much as your fingers or your wrist? Now rock it left to right.... see the middle of your hand does not move as much as the thumb or side of your hand?) The middle of the ship has the least movement. It doesn't really matter whether you have an interior or exterior room though.... as long as they are near the middle of the ship. Though if you have the money for it.... the balcony rooms are wonderful in the morning and evening with a fresh cup of coffee! (Room service is free! You need to tip them though!) Also, a heads up. Bring at least the same about of spending money, as you paid for your ticket. We have found that is usually a good way to measure what we will go through. (If you drink a lot or need to gamble or buy jewelry.... bring double!) Enjoy your trip! Bon Voyage!
