Which is better, All-inclusive Resort or a Cruise?
-
I am trying to decide what I should do for a vacation. The trip would be with my gf and some other friends. I have been on 1 cruise before in the Caribbean, but I have never been to an all-inclusive resort. If we went on a cruise, we wouldn't be doing any of the paid shore excursions. We would most likely just be exploring the places we stopped at on our own. It would most likely be a 5 or 6 day cruise. For the money, which vacation would be better: An all-inclusive resort or a 6ish-day cruise?

Answer:
I like all inclusive for several reasons: - good price for what you get. - You get all you can eat, including free drinks (drinks are not free on cruises, you have to pay for them) - You have beach and pool right next to you - Depending on which all-inclusive you go to you can go into the area and check out the locals - Cruises are for old people - All inclusive have excursions. They cost extra but if you want an adventure its a sure way to go - No sea sickness - You are not trapped out at sea

I would definitely go with the All-Inclusive. I have been on both and although a cruise will take you to a few places, you will not have the same type of experience. I guess it depends on what you're looking for in a vacation. If you truly want to relax and not worry have to worry about a THING, then definitely go to an All-Inclusive. They will normally cost more, but the way you are taken care of is 5+ stars.

I have been to both, The cruise willl cost more but you get to see more sights. I would def go cruise again if possible. If you have never done a cruise it is an experience you should try. All inclusive can be cool but the food and drinks is what they typically include, so if you are a heavy drinker - the all inclusive resort would be best, drinks on a cruise can be pricy.

I personally would rather go on a cruise because I think they are just awesome, but that's justme. If you have never been to an AI resort, then do that! Why not try something different? Then you can decide for yourself which you like better. I think the price is comparable, unless you like party and drink a lot, then the AI may suit you more.

The cruise is (nearly always) the best bang for your vacation dollar. And, IMO, all-inclusive resorts are grossly over-priced. Yeah, they're nice... but very expensive. My personal experience has been best to simply pick an island; select a hotel (or rent a villa!) and go. My favorite island is St Martin.

We have done both several times. Cruises are great, our bar tab is to expensive. We do our own thing also(no excursions). All inclusive is nice no bar tabs. Just some tipping. We don't think the food is as good as a cruise, but you never go hungry. HAVE FUN
