What is the cheapest Caribbean Island to visit?
-
I know this question has been asked a million times...but the answer probably changes every year. I would like to stay on a resort with my family(we are all pretty much grown up so no young kids or anything) but also plan on exploring the land via a rental car or something. I would appreciate answers from someone knowledgeable...possibly someone that knows how heavily the islands depend on imports, which island has the best infrastructure for tourists, and what the "unofficial" street exchange rate is in some of the countries. I've heard the Dominican Republic is still one of the cheapest.
