What is the best sandals resort in st. lucia or anywhere else?
-
I am planning my honeymoon and really like St. Lucia. I have heard great things and am really leaning towards the Sandals La Toc Resort. I have read many reviews and a lot of them are mixed so I am starting to get anxiety about this. I am not dead set on St. Lucia and would welcome all suggestions regarding destination and resort. I want there to be good beach access along with a nice pool and all the other amenities one would want on a honeymoon. All suggestions are welcome but I would really love some advice on the La Toc in St. Lucia.

Answer:
Sandals Grande tends to be the bettter of the three by reviews and reputation in St. Lucia. It all boils down to personal taste. Once you book into one resort, you have acess to all three resorts. Info for outside of the resorts http://uptodatestlucia.com/

Don't listen to Grooper. He says the same thing every time he answers a question on here. He is anti-all-inclusive for some reason but thinks he can change everyone else's mind about all-inclusive resorts too. Those of us who have actually been to the all-inclusive resorts and know what a great value we get for the money know better. Sandals La Toc is a beautiful resort, and the island of St. Lucia is gorgeous as well. I love the fact that some rooms can be beachfront while others can be on the bluff overlooking the beach, which adds some much needed privacy for honeymooning couples. The only problem I have with the resort is that the beach is nowhere near as nice as some of the other Sandals resorts out there. For example, I personally love Sandals Antigua & Sandals Negril (smaller resort so more private) and those two beaches are breathtaking. Long stretch of beach with soft powder sand and crystal clear water. If you heart ends up still being set on St. Lucia, then the beach at Sandals Grand St. Lucian is nicer than the beach at Sandals La Toc. If you google "Sandals La Toc beach" you'll see what I mean. It's just lacking in the beach department. But I know for a fact that other Sandals resorts out there are much better when it comes to their beaches. Here is a list of the Sandals on each island with the best beaches in my opinion: Jamaica: http://www.sandals.com/main/negril/ne-home.cfm?referral=134793 AND http://www.sandals.com/main/whitehouse/wh-home.cfm?referral=134793 Bahamas: http://www.sandals.com/main/emerald/em-home.cfm?referral=134793 St. Lucia: http://www.sandals.com/main/grande/gl-home.cfm?referral=134793 Antigua: http://www.sandals.com/main/antigua/an-home.cfm?referral=134793 Have you checked the "Sandals Planner" on the site? If not, here is the link: http://www.sandals.com/planner/index.cfm?referral=134793 It's a great way to narrow down your best options based on your travel style. Or you may just want to contact a Sandals Specialist. Their help is free and they are trained and certified to answer all of your questions about the resorts and help you plan the perfect vacation. Try http://www.myparadiseplanner.com. It's probably better to have the professional help than to brave it alone and make the wrong choice, especially if it doesn't cost you anything extra. Good luck and have an amazing honeymoon!

St. Lucia is a great island, but are you REALLY sure you want to go to an ALL INCLUSIVE for a HONEYMOON? Do you realize the term ‘ALL INCLUSIVE" is travel industry "CODE" for "RESORTS FOR LARGE FAMILIES ON TIGHT BUDGETS"? Now, there is nothing WRONG with a one price resort just so long as you understand you will have to tolerate being run down by baby carriages and small, out of control children running and shouting all over the place and what BEACH the resort has is more tightly packed than Coney Island or Atlantic City on the 4th of July. The next time you see one of their slick adverts on TV, look PAST the talking head with the perfect teeth and loon AT THE BEACH behind them.
