What should I take on my Caribbean cruise?

Any one who's ever been on a Cruise from Galveston-what can you take aboard on a royal Caribbean Cruise?

  • can you take your own booze and such, or do they allow that. Is there any prevenitive measures taken by the port authoritys in Galveston, Tx to assure drugs are not taken aboard?

    They do X-ray the bags to look for weapons etc... We did take some of our own alcohol w/o any problem. We left out of Port Canaveral FL, sailed on RoyalCaribbean to the Western Caribbean for 7 days last May. If you are flying,I'd say it's airport security that would be your biggest risk. We had a fabulous time, I wouldn't take the chance of anything ruining such a great vacation. Leave the "drugs" at home.

Enjoy Galveston! I really didn't have enough time when we were there to enjoy it, and the beach was dirty and hard. I'm used to the breathtaking beaty of Destin...sorry, locals. Don't know about drugs. I definately wouldn't chance it. Texas is pretty much a country of it's own.
