What are cruises like for teens?

  • I hear there's clubs at night are they fun lame boring or awkward? I'm going on a cruise in a few months and I just want to know all the details about it I've never been on one and I'm leaving from floridia going to Haiti Jamaica and Cozumel witch is in Mexico please tel me all the details about what it's like what you do and if you meet people ect. What's it like for a teen? I'm 14 and my 15 and 18 year old sisters are coming with me oh and my parents :p thanks!

    All cruises are not the same.. SURPRISE.. SURPRISE.. each ship is DIFFERENT and since YOU didn't bother to say WHICH SHIP it is you are going on.. then how the hell do you expect an answer? What you are going on is a super CHEAP Western Caribbean 'cruise'.. it's cheap because the Ports of Call are the CHEAPEST ones they can take you too. As a genereal rule, ADULTS go on Cruises to unwind.. to decompress.. so all they want to do is rest.. have a few drinks and some nice food and soak int he sun.. ADULTS are not worried about being ENTERTAINED every second of eavery cruising day. Some cruise ships cater to CHILDREN and some cruise ships cater to the needs of ADULTS.. and what you will find on your cruise depends on which type of ship you are on. Those 3 ports are not my choice.. but it doesn't matter because you will not be in Port for more than a few hours in any of those ports.. Typically the ship docks about 10 AM and you are back on board about 4 PM... hardly enough time to do much of anything but a little sightseeing. Ships like what your are going on are rudly referred to as 'CATTLE BOATS" for obvious reasons. Jamaica will offer some shopping.. in Haii you won't even SEE the real Haiti.. that port has been sanitied for Amerikan consumption so all you see there is what AmeriKans THINK Haiti is like. Cozumel is just like being in AmeriKa.

Cruises are fun ! :) oh but all cruises are different. My experience is from England to Netherlands :D The buffet is quite yummy so i was happy with the food. Sometimes it can be a little swayish in a cruise but its okay. They had a performance in the bar, but i did not really watch it nor did i drink anything ( im too young for the alcohol), so i just played cards with my family or read a book. On the top of the cruise there is this place where u can just hang out and if u want u can also go out into the open and see the big sea. ah, but its really really windy and cold ( it was around winter ) so i went back in after a while. They had a piano performance and it was quite nice to listen to. but i decided to sleep early in the end. it was quite bumpy and noisy though, but all in all it was fun :D

I loved going on my cruise. i met tons of people, a boy, and had tons of fun with all the activities and mostly the dances. the last night they really loosen up on the rules and they let you do a lot. they have a bed time for kids under 18, for the teens it was 1am. but as long as ur with someone that age or older ur cool.
