Honeymoon: Caribbean Cruise VS All Inclusive Resort, help me decide!?
-
I am 29 years old and am trying to plan my Honeymoon for this coming July. I cannot decide if a cruise is the better option or an all-inclusive resort. I have looked on youtube at videos of both as well as researched a bit but having done neither one before, Im still not sure what to do. I live in the NW so I def want warm water & sun :) The most important thing for us is to let loose and party in the evening. It would be fun to be surrounded by people our same age and just have a good time. I know alcohol can be spendy on cruises but I have figured out ways to smuggle it on the ship :) So... any advice would be much appreciated & if you think the resorts are the option to go please tell me a good Party Resort (preferably not Jamaica or Mexico).

Um... you do know that July is during the "Hurricane season" right? AND.. if you are 29 and you want to be "surrounded by people our same age" then WHY in gawds name are you going on a cruise ship with a bunch of the nearly dead. If you are so clever that you have figured out you can sneak alcohol on the cruise ship in bottles of tanning lotion.. forget it.. your grandmother did that years ago, so you are not being clever or original and they watch for those big bottles of 'tanning lotion' Consider going to St. Lucia.. it's the most female friendly island in the Caribbean and great for honeymoons.. And, if you are so CHEAP you want to sneak your own alcohol on a cruise ship, then why would you go to an all inclusive resort? They are not the great, something for nothing places you think they are because you have to pay for what other people want and need and not what you want or need. It's much cheaper to go to a regular resort and pay for your own food and drinks.

Def go for the resort. Numerous members of my family have gone for these caribbean cruises and they did say it was fun and all but its just not as much "fun" as a resort especially all inclusive. Yeah they cruises are nice and they have ALOT of cool things inside the ship but if its for a honeymoon i def recommend the resort. Look up places in the Dominican Republic, heard of alot of good stories there.. nice weather warm water etc. Puntacana is the only word I heard after Dominican Republic. OR you can try out some resorts in Costa Rica. They are really really nice and the weather is amazing. Great friendly people. Awesome water temps. Ive been there 5 times to different locations and never been dissatisfied
