    Only that his trip there on the Beagle got him thinking along lines that eventually led to evolution. The Galapagos are a marvellous place, with many species that exist nowhere else on earth. Don't expect to roam around like a tourist elsewhere, though, as tours are carefully controlled. The Ecuadorean Government is extremely careful for the eco-system to remain exactly as it is.
