Church Underwater in puerto rico does anyone know details on it?

  • I know in puerto rico theres a church that got covered in water and now is under water on low tides you can see the tip of the church sticking out. does anyone know what town in puerto rico that is, and the name of the church and details on it.

    It is in Arecibo or Utuado. The area was geologicaly perfect to make an artificial lake to be used for electrical power generation, the people of a small community or "barrio" was relocated and the area was flooded. Since the tallest building in the area was the church when the lake level drops the top section of the church can be seen over the water.
