Where can i go online to study for the ACT or free?

Should I move to Puerto Rico to study?

  • I am 16 years old.. I'm very confused with what I am going to do with my future. My dream is to be a famous Salsa singer, but I know I have to think realistic about it. No matter what I do I want to move to Puerto Rico though. I currently live in Miami, Florida. My mother doesn't really support me going to Puerto Rico for college. Mostly because of the drinking and drugs, but I know that would not be a problem for me.. I wish I could right everything I want to say but i shouldn't put my life out there like that.. but its a long story.. So long story short my father is deceased so i only have my mom.. now she has a boyfriend and they plan on getting married and he's in the army so most likely they (actually we..including me) are gonna have to move to Kentucky.. Which I REALLY do NOT want to move there.. Im already going to be be a senior next year and don't want to go through such a change like that.. So yeah.. I want to move out at 18 and move to Puerto Rico. I have some family over there, but I don't want to live with them.. They live in Camuy off to the Northwest of the island and I would like to live more near San Juan so I can go to the Rio Piedras campus of UPR.. I am a very talented person.. I sing, act, dance, and draw. I can not study anything boring.. I need to be doing something fun or something that has to do with music or something.. I think i want to study communications.. It's the coolest backup plan I can think of.. I don't think I want to study music because I have taken Chorus class and did not like it. I don't like the theory or the boring songs. I am a really determined person, but right now i am so confused.. can someone help me please?? I really need advice.. Thank you..

  • Answer:

im in that campus :D but what you want is pretty difficult.. so, you want to come to puerto rico, but you dont want to be with your family.. ok.. there are apartaments close to that campus so you can stay there with some other people so you can divide the rent.. also, your mom doesnt want you to go, so chances are she wont pay anything, and since youre coming here some months before college starts you need to have a job to pay for the house and books, etc.. and study at the same time. but i met a friend that is always reading manga (i hate that!) while im reading biology :/ and even thought she never read, she got an A. and shes in communications xD

You dont indicte if you know Spanish, i mean that you can speak it and write fluent...if you dont you will NOT make it in college...the reason is that while most text books are in english the class is basically contducted/taught in spanish...Puerto Rico nowdays has a very large unemployeed workforce which makes the environment challenging, even for the ones that know the way around. Public transportation, in general, is not the best, housing, decent at least, is expensive....in general the cost of living is as high as it comes. I would suggest you stay close to what you have right now, try to get more of an educatiion and lets see how things play out...then give your dream of Puerto Rico another shot...best of luck either way.....
