Going to puerto rico for the first time? help anyone?

• so im from california im 19 years old and next week im going to puerto rico to visit my grama iim going to be staying over there 2 weeks ....and this is my first time that im going to san juan puerto rico i have never gone there before... so how is the weather? does it rain or is it hot? what type of clothes should i bring a long? also what is the LEGAL age to drink alcohol in puerto rico? over here in cali is 21 so obviously i CANNOT drink -_-.... but i heard from some of my cuzins i have in puerto rico they told me over the phone that over there the age to drink is 18 not 21 like in the states.. so i just wanna make sure lol please dnt judge me i just plan on having a few beers with my cuzing im not planning to get drunk cuz i hate the hungover .. so yea .. also lets say i go to a liquor store in puerto rico and wanted to buy a beer n they ask for my id would they say anything if i showed them my california ID and it says im 19? woud they still sell me beer or not? even if its not an id from puerto rico?? cuz obviously i dont have a puerto rican id i have an id from california thanks =) best answer 10 points

  The weather in Puerto Rico is always warm. There are times when the heat can get uncomfortable but it is not desert hot. It is however humid but since you will be in San juan, you usually feel the breezes coming from the ocean. It rains but it is wetter in the western part of the island. You should bring outdoor clothes. Basically you dress the same as if it where summer in California because it can get very hot in Puerto Rico. Yes the legal drinking age in Puerto Rico is 18, but some areas on the island(like clubs) require that you be 21 to enter. Since Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, I'm pretty sure if you show them your California i.d. they would serve you alcohol, the same as if you were in another U.S. state. Since you speak perfect Spanish and English you will have absolutely no problem getting around the city especially in San Juan which is the most Americanized city of Puerto Rico. Even though many people there speak English, always speak to a Puerto Rican in Spanish before you assume that they know English because that is rude. I hope that this helps and enjoy your time there.
