What will the weather be like in Punta Cana in the beginning of April?

We are leaving for Punta Cana at the end of April and what's the weather like this time of year ?

  • Does it rain a lot??? if it does rain, does it stay cloudy allll day long after the showers or does it clear up within minutes

    Its friggin outstanding. In the Caribbean it can rain anytime but it usually rains quickly, blows through in the afternoon and becomes sunny again. Then everything seems clean and fresh. Great time to go. In fact anytime is a great time to go to the caribbean.

The end of April should be okay. I've been there twice in May. The first time it barely rained and the second time (a few years later) it rained everyday from about 5pm on. The days were hot and sunny though so that was what was most important to us. Hope you enjoy Punta Cana - it's beautiful!
