Traveling through Canada might possibly be one way..... The Chinese were complaining that United States' huge security programme have made traveling to the Caribbean way too problematic so many are now trying to travel through Canada instead.... See article below... It is the result of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) bloc and their meeting with China in 2005. So if it is too difficult to go through the US for you investigate flying through Canada as well.... -- Article: Chinese tourists denied US visas Date: Web Posted - Monday, Octpber 10th, 2005 Source: www.BarbadosAdvocate.com - Barbados Advocate News Link: http://www.barbadosadvocate.com/NewViewNewsleft.cfm?Record=23085 Numerous Chinese tourist wishing to travel to the Caribbean have had their plans put on hold, simply because they have repeatedly been denied visas for travel to the United States a critical intersection for Chinese to get to the West Indies. "Many Chinese have had their visas rejected," said Jin Xu, Deputy Director General of the Department of American and Oceanian Affairs in the People's Republic of China: Ministry of Commerce. Xu, addressing a 17-member joint Caribbean media delegation last month at his office, hoped that the United States government would adopt a "more flexible visa policy" for his country's 1.3 billion people. Xu, whose portfolio includes Latin America and the Caribbean region, said that his government is seeking an alternative solution, since he recognises that the relationship between the Caribbean and China has been at the "best stage in history". Although negotiations are still at an early stage, Xu has indicated that Canada is willing to support Chinese tourist coming to the Caribbean shores via Canada, by offering them the requisite visa. Once in Canada, they would be able to fly directly to the islands. The importance of Chinese tourist adding value to the essential tourism industry in the Caribbean cannot be overstated, since China is emerging as the country with the world's highest growth rate for outbound tourism. According to a survey conducted by an international tourism monitoring agency of Asia-Pacific region, the average daily expenses of a Chinese tourist during one long holiday amounts to US$175; a German Chamber of Commerce survey shows average daily expenses of US$110 in Germany; second to American tourist US$117; the Swiss Information Network report puts the figure for Switzerland at US$313, the highest spend for any source country. According to the World Tourist and Travel Council, China's travel industry may grow by 10.4 per cent a year over the next ten years, lifting China to fourth rank in terms of industry size. The World Tourism Organisation predicts that by 2020, China will be the world's top tourist destination, and fourth in outbound tourist numbers, with 100 million Chinese people travelling abroad every year.[-End]

Oh, that one is easy (but it wont be for you). Indeed, there is no direct flight from Philippines inbound SDQ (Las Americas Intl Airport, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, our main airport), but most of the flights that operates in this country, are aircraft coming in and out from the United States, so it will be a lot easier for you to flight stopping in USA. Expect two stop, I found this route that could be useful for you (assuming you are coming from Manila): MNL-SFO (Manila to San Francisco) Flight 104 from Philippines Airlines. SFO-JFK (San Francisco to New York Kennedy) Flight 418 Delta Airlines JFK-SDQ (New York Kennedy to Santo Domingo) Flight 207 Delta Airlines. That was inbound, outbound could be slightly different according to the deals available, but I tell you what, I used expedia.com to find this deal, since most of the flights (as I told you before) are coming or going to USA, USA Airlines are very popular here (and expedia.com preference USA Airlines). You can try with 4 of t he big ones: Continental, American Airlines, US Airways and Delta Airlines, also try JetBlue, they flight here too!
