Do you know what airlines fly between Puerto Plata, DR & Santo Domingo, DR or Punta Cana & Puerto Plata?

  • I am planning a trip to the D.R. and I am staying in Puerto Plata. It is cheaper to fly to Santo Domingo. What airlines fly cheap or what other modes of transportation can I look into. I am trying to find reputable companies.

    From Puerto Plata airport to Santo Domingo (one way) 150us p.p. there is only 1 company so no choices. By bus it takes 3 1/2 hour and cost 230 pesos (one way) 8 us. Renting a car cost about 1800 to 2200rds/day =56 to 68 us + petrol 150rds/gallon (4,70 us). I´m a VIP tour operator if you need anything just contact me. Enjoy it!

Check at the airport, or take 3 hour car trip. The plane has interesting views and so does the car. I experienced both.

You are far better to take Caribe Tours than fly. It is inexpensive, the buses are modern and reliable. See the link below. Here is also a link for a small airline.

The Dominican Republic is very small. You're probably better off renting a car.
