Airfare to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic?

  • I am traveling from Las Vegas, Nevada to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in December. The fare right now for December is $806. Does that sound reasonable? I never flew there before so I have no frame of reference to compare with. Thanks so much!!!

This fare seems a little high. Lately fares from South Florida have averaged about $300-$350 to Santo Domingo. Two of the airlines that go to santo Domingo also serve Las vegas. They are Spirit from Ft. Lauderdale and American from Miami. You may want to book your trip separately to South Florida, for example Vegas to Ft. Lauderdale and Lauderdale to Santo Domingo. Do the same with Miami,

That souns about right for December, which is in the TOURIST SEASON when fares are the highest. The CHEAPEST AIR FARES from the US to Puerto Rico or the Dominican Republic is always on SPIRIT AIRLINES out of Orlando.. it's a no frills airline but you aren't taking a long term lease on the seat so it's be best deal
