Is Canadian Cruise Tourist Shipping Line Company real or scam?

Caribbean cruise line/bahamas celebration...complete scam or for real?

  • Ok, I received the same deal as everyone else on here has received. I haven't had any trouble with them so far, besides they have a pretty hard core sales team. but they were polite, and told me everything. my voucher says i have to attend the "presentaion on the sale of independent vacation ownership resorts." It also states that there could be an additional $9 per person per day if the price of oil is greater than $40 a barrel. my question here is...is all this for real? i have been researching and found a lot of complaints, but the key is....they all went on a cruise. no one has said they paid for it, and didn't get to go or such. I can definitely see how some details would get by people not paying attention on the phone, but they mentioned everything i have read a complaint about. there have also been a lot of people who have been very pleased with the experience. i am afraid those people may work for the company though. i don't care if i have to attend a presentation, and i don't care if there is a few extra fees that may come up here and there, such as the oil thing, as that is expected of any vacation, "free" or not. my airline tickets and car rental are supposed to be free, and if i decide to drive they will reimburse me $100 gas for the trip down. I haven't told my husband about this yet, i want all the details straight first. has anyone went on it? all i'm concerned about is getting to go on a cruise for barely any money. don't care about presentation, or small rooms, or such.

    Well I'll be on the Bahamas Celebration this weekend thru a Groupon [2/$299] but I think it'll be legit. I've been on a Carnival cruise which was awesome, but I'm not comparing because the BC is a smaller ship and shorter trip. The thing with oil fees happens with ALL the cruises, as well as gratuities per day. We had to pay gratuities daily for the maitre d', etc, and it went towards fuel too if need be, but I dont recall the oil prices going up. From what I've heard though, the cruise is nice for the cost you are paying. But if I were you, if you can get the same or near price for Carnival, I'd go with Carnival or another big cruiseline for sure. If you just need a small getaway like me, the BC will be nice.

Didn't read the details of your question - sorry, it's hard to read with no paragraphs, capital letters, etc. This cruise line is "legit" but the cruise itself is of very poor quality, on an old converted ferry boat, and it only goes to the Bahamas. You will probably also have to listen to a time share presentation. Any resemblance to a "real" cruise is coincidence. But if you've never cruised before, you won't know the difference. Go to CruiseCritic.com, click on "Boards", and go to the cruise line's board; or go to the "Member Reviews" section and read what others have to say. Keep in mind that many of the passengers are first-timers or don't really care that much about quality. "You get what you pay for", as they say.

I think you need to go on a legit cruise line that you're sure about like carnival my mom goes on one every year and she went to the Bahamas. It's not the same as actually flying there and experiencing it though. I'm Bahamian, Woo ! You can't really enjoy it on a cruise as much as you would flying there. I've heard of that before, but I don't really remember anything about it. The economy is crappy and there are a lot of scams going on right now, it's better to be safe than sorry. I read about a company in Jamaica promising people things if they gave them a certain amount of money, and when they did they kept calling for more and threatened to harm the people. I doubt anything like that will happen, just giving an example. The Bahamas is a beautiful place and I can't wait to return and enjoy the beaches ! I don't know a lot about these things, I'm fifteen. I wish you the best of luck though, be careful !
