Answer:
hey i'm from Aruba and I have a girlfriend so I can recommend you few things. Sunsets You can enjoy a beautiful sunset on the beach, Get some beer sit on the beach (Eagle or Palm Beach Highly recommended) and look at the sunset. You can also take a " Sunset cruise" which is basically a catamaran sail during sunset. All the catamarans have open alcohol bars, so you can have a good time. Beaches The whitest beach on Aruba is the Eagle Beach. It is also the longest and widest beach on the island. It's almost never crowded so you can chill there too. Take a swim in the morning or afternoon and enjoy a walk on the beach at night. Baby Beach is a really popular beach on the island. It is really shallow but not for " miles " when you get there just about 300 meters from shore you'll see rocks, Behind those rocks it's about 30 meters deep and there is a lot of current so just stay close to shore. (about 10-15 meters). Offroading Rent a Jeep, go on the backside of the Island. You can see the caves over there. There are 3 caves; The Gaudiriki Cave, The Fontein Cave and " The tunnel of love". Don't let the name fool you, it's scary down there but it's worth the experience, 100% safe nothing is going to kill you, but its scary XD. You can also see some " boca's" (Papiamento translation for " Mouth " ) which are opening between the rock formation to making a beach. But YOUR NOT ALLOWED TO SWIM IN THESE OCEAN'S. There are a lot of currents and the chance that you will drown is HIGH. There is something called the Natural Pool, where it safe to swim, Bring snorkel equipment! Casino's It's just a waste of money don't go there. Restaurants Yes there are some restaurants where you can dine barefoot. The flying fishbone is one and there is another one at the Radisson I believe. If you want to be romantic you need to go to the Lighthouse restaurant. The lighthouse is on a hill, and the restaurant is just next to it. If you ask for outdoor dining you can see the island with the lights and stuff. Shopping I don't see why you would want to shop here, you can get everything in the US cheaper. Except for Camera's maybe. For electronics, try Boolchand's or Sam's or Baba's. Boolchands has a high reputation, Sam's (Ex-manager of Boolchand's opened up his own store) And if you ask for discount he WILL give you and it is cheaper and you'll find everything in there. Nightlive Aruba doesn't have much nightlive. Only nightclubs, which isnt really romantic. You can try Mr. Jazz if you like dancing salsa or merengue. Mr Jazz is also a restaurant. There is also a movie theathre close to Riu (walkable) at Paseo Herencia. But why come to Aruba to watch movies? If you want to drink, i'd recommend Smokey Joe's (Closer to Riu then paseo) Helicopter tour You can take a Heli ride, its about 100$ p.p for a 40-45 minute ride. They also give you an option to "Fly and Dive" the heli will drop you off at a restaurant Close to the lighthouse, it also has a beautiful view. That costs a lot though. Bonus; Palm Island That's the name the other answerer couldn't remember, it's a real chill spot. You pay something like 80$ p.p. And you stay from 9 to 6. All you can eat/drink/snorkel. Suggestions: Rent a jeep. Dont rent a car if you want to go offroading. Don't take taxi's (too expensive). If you can cook your own food, recommended if you dont want to give out around 70-80 $ each time you eat. Don't stay at Riu, it's an all inclusive hotel, your just wasting money if your not gonna stay there to eat and stuff. Holiday Inn is a cheap hotel but it's really nice. And it's on the Same strip from Riu, around 6 hotels away. Walkable in 5 minutes. It's has everything Riu has that you need. It has a pool it;s on the same beach, and a room for you. Aruba is really expensive; Come with a lot of money. Always use sunscreen! if you want a tan, Dont use oils, just tan. Using oils will make your skin burn. anything else? Email me [email protected]

yay! :-) i am going on my first major holiday with my partner of 2 years this summer also so I know how u feel. I went to Aruba last year and its such a beautiful country, everything you do will be romantic...trust me! There is a lovely beach called 'baby beach', which u can wade all the way out and it only goes up to your waist for miles. Take a picnic and go late afternoon in the week to avoid the crowds. There is also a boat party called 'Tattoo' you pay for your board and a get a free nice meal. They take you on the boat at night across the ocean and you can see all the lights of the island. There is like a mini club at the bottom of the boat which gets quite rowdy, lol. But grab some seats on the top deck where its quiet and you get a better view, very romantic! Another day trip idea is to visit a small resort/island about 10 minutes away from Aruba... which they take you to by boat - i cant remember what its called but its popular so all you would need to do is go to the tourist information there. You get free breakfast, lunch and dinner and its like a mini paradise and has the most beautiful sites ever! and you can do activities such as snorkeling (i saw mini sharks!!) and deep sea diving- they also do massages etc there is so much more to do as well, submarine trips, glass bottom boat trips, scuba diving, water sports - there is also a beautiful water show - with lights and music that they put on most nights in town - if he doesn't propose to you in beautiful Aruba then hes crazy!! lol hope this helps babe Have fun!! xx

Dinner on the beach is very romantic. You can go to the Flying Fishbone or the Hyatt Regency for a gourmet dinner on the beach. The Ruinas del Mar at the Hyatt Regency is very romantic too. It's surrounded on two sides by a large pond with black swans and koi swimming in it. You can get an outside table right by the water. A submarine or semi-submarine ride is fun too. A semi-submarine doesn't submerge but it has windows below the waterline so you can see the underwater sights. There are lots of other water sports available, like snorkeling, windsurfing, parasailing, banana boats, and sunset cruises (also romantic). You can find these activities anywhere in the high rise resort area.
