How many passports can you have on border crossing?

Crossing the border between canada and usa? passports?

    The current regulations for crossing the border into the US require one of the following approved ID types for people 16 years of age and older: A valid Canadian Passport (valid for all forms of travel) An Enhanced Drivers License (valid for travel by air and sea) An Enhanced Provincial ID (valid for travel by air and sea) You can also use a Nexus or other approved card which are used by frequent travellers such as business people, truckers, etc. that cross the border on a regular basis. A nexus card is valid for travel by land, sea, and air (at selected airports). For children 15 years of age and younger a birth certificate is still sufficient ID for crossing the border if travelling by land or sea. (Passports are required for travel by air into the US by people of all ages.)

You do need passports.

Do yourself a huge favour and go and get a passport anyway. That way you won't have to deal with any potential headaches at the border which, incidentally, you won't be able to cross anyway unless you have a passport...right??

You do need a passport now even crossing by car. Depending on which province you are in, you may enter with an enhanced driver's license.
