How do I transfer my driver's license over?

Im moving to alberta from ontario, how do you transfer you drivers license to a different province?

• is this just a simple transfer or is there more to it? and what about health cards ect?

  You go into an vehicle license office, and tell them you have moved, and want to transfer your licence. You fill out some paperwork, get your picture taken, and pay money (of course!), and, that's about it. They will want to see proof of where you are now living, so a lease, or utility bill in your name at that address, or something like that is required. Same for the health card, although they are usually fussier about the proof needed, in my experience (which admittedly isn't in Alberta, but, several other provinces). It takes about 3 months for the Alberta health coverage to take effect, but, you are covered under OHIP until then. But, do not delay. For driver's licences, you actually don't have much time, legally.
