I live in Canada, and I wanted to know if I needed a passport to enter the USA?

If you are flying you will need a passport. Same rule apply for your boyfriend to enter Canada he will need original birth certificate and government issued photo id for land travel. yes i drove to buffalo last week and i was asked to provide my passport at the border which i thought was a little bit unusual bcoz they never asked for it before...but yeah i think it would be wise to have it on you, just in case...911 has indeed caused a lot of changes...
