Well. just from my experience because I've lived both places. Canada has a much smaller population and less states/provinces so it feels like more of a family. There is less racism and competition between groups of people here because I've found in America that was a bit of a problem in some areas. We don't have many big cities but in most big cities that we do have there is a balance between urban and natural. There's lots of beautiful forests. I feel less tense living in Canada then I do in America. Less violence in big cities. If you love the outdoors but want to be in the city a great place to go is Ottawa, the capital of Canada. It's a big city but has a small town feel and it's very clean and peaceful. Oh and also the maritimes in Canada, which is the East Coast, has alot of Irish influences so it might be a sort of home away from home for you. Negatives about Canada is the weather, it can get cold in most places and you'll see loooots of snow in the winter. Also if you want to make it big America is usually the place to go. Canada has alot of opportunities but not as much as in America, if you want to be famous or something then the USA is for you. The USA also has places where it's always nice warm weather. And I believe the USA has higher rated universities.

That's a hard one to answer. There is a bigger job market in the US, simply because it has a greater population, which provides more opportunities for journalists. However, Canadian journalists do very well in the US. Some of the top US newscasters and journalists have come from Canada. There are several good schools of journalism in Canada - talk to your English teacher for more details. Good luck to you!

Both countries have good universities. U.S. has a lot to choose from and they have Ivy League schools out of that pick. I don't know if Canadian universities can match U.S. Ivy schools. We have fewer universities obviously since we have a smaller population, but most of our schools are good, and generally have academic success in publications and such. Don't be afraid that you'll get a worse education in Canadian universities. All around any pick will get you a good education. But if you are able to get into an Ivy League school in the US, might as well. Some good schools in Canada are: Uof BC, University of Victoria, UofAlberta, McMaster, Ryerson, UofToronto, Queens, Waterloo, UofGuelph, Dalhousie, McGill. I'm sure I've forgotten a few of the popular ones. There is a great assortment from east to west coast. Good luck!

Well, if you want to live in what is considered 'the best city in the world' you should check out Vancouver, BC. Canada. I went to school there and not only is it world class beautiful, but it also has world class schools and a mild climate. If you've seen any Olympic coverage this year, you will know what I mean about how gorgeous it is. My suggestion would be to check the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University to see if their programs would suit your needs. Vancouver is arguable the most culturally diverse city on the planet. You will never run out of things to do or outdoor activities, from kayaking to climbing to skiing...and you can do all of those on one day if you are keen to. Hope to see you in Canada! Let me extend an early 'bienvenue au Canada!'.

Well, moving here means you need an in demand skill or profession. That being said... Canada is great for what you seek. It is trickier to find outdoors peace and quiet near a city, but much, much easier in Canada than the USA. We have a slightly larger country, and only 1/10 the population. E.g., when I lived in Ottawa, you could drive about 20-30 minutes and be in some pretty deep forest. I live in the Yukon, and 20-30 minutes from Whitehorse would put you in the wilderness! Or, close to it.

CANADA IS THE BEST COUNTRY BUT IF YOU WANT TO STUDY JOURNALISM AMERICA WOULD BE BETTER YOU CAN ALWAYS HAVE MORE OPPORTUNITIES IN AMERICA SINCE THEIR POPULATION IS MUCH LARGER CANADA MAY BE BIGGER IN SIZE BUT WE DON'T HAVE A LARGE POPULATION SO BOTH COUNTRIES ARE THE BEST BUT IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO COME YOUR WAY AMERICA IS THE COUNTRY FOR YOU AMERICAN JOURNALISTS ARE VERY WELL KNOWN WITH A GREAT PAY.
