Canada vs USA? Which is better?

• My dad is considering moving to Canada because of the crashing economy in America. Do you think we should? All i want to know is if Canada is better than the US by its finance, safety, health care, laws, politics, home/gas prices, jobs, etc. My dad has some friends who lives in Alberta and they say that it's a wonderful place to live and that we should move up there because the people are nice and the interest rate is higher. My Q: *Is Canada better than the US? How? *Whats a good place to live in Canada thats not a city(name of town plz)? * Are the houses there expensive? * Are the People nice? * How safe is it? * How strict are the laws? * Can you bring pets(1 cat and 1 dog) legally? like without them getting checked. * Is the Health care good? * How many americans each yr move up to Canada? * Is the Gov corrupted? * Whats the unemployment rate? * Why do some people think that Canada is better than the US but some of the in th US just thinks that Canada is made by wimps? * Whats the differenceBetweenn Canada and the US? Sorry for so many questions but im just curious about Canada and whether my family and i should move there or not. No mean answers and Thank you ;)

  Canada has consistently ranked higher in Quality of life, health care and education. A good place to live that's not a city, don`t know exactly what you mean by that, but there are plenty of smaller towns instead of big cities like Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary etc, try Victoria or Vaughan, or Fredericton. People are nice yes, but you will find people you don`t like as in every country. Canada is very safe, especially when compared to the US, Canada has a very low murder rate, and very few violent crimes. The laws are not strict, you will definitely find it much more relaxed than the US, an example the drinking ages are 18-19 compared to 21 in the US. You can bring pets, Im not sure about getting them checked though, I couldn`t tell you. The Health care is good yes, there is quality health care in Canada and it ranks very well in the G8 nations and has some of the best care in the world. Not sure but I think its around 30,000 more and more Americans move to Canada each year. The government is not corrupted compared to other countries but like all governments you questions some of the things they do. The employment rate isn`t too bad but I wouldn`t mind seeing an improvement. Canada has entered both world wars before the US and fought very hard, Canadian troops took Vimy Ridge and were the only troops to give the Germans that amount of a fight. Canada has a strong military contrary to what people believe, Canada is more than capable of defending ourselves if needed, and a world of allies and being a commonwealth country doesn`t hurt either. Canada`s government is different from the US, Canada is not a republic its a monarchy with the Queen as the head of state, but in reality its only cerremonial and has no real say in what Canada does. Canada is more liberal, same-sex marriage fully legal, no death penalty etc etc.
