What's the best small Southern town to live in?

Whats the best town to live in Canada?

  • My dad is thinking about moving my family to Canada so i was wondering what town we should live in. We have a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children with 2 pets(cat and dog). Preferably a Town in the South of Ontario or East of Alberta. Not too cold all the time. Seasonable weather(Summer, fall, winter, spring) A small town or a nice city English speaking Low taxes Good Economy Excellent school systems Low crime Nice neighbourhoods(preferably cudesacs(sp?)) I know i'm being picky but i'm just curious if there is a town to that description. Thanks ;)

Oakville, Ontario is a really nice place! I use to live there and I loved it! It was really pretty, The weather was fine! I don't know anything about taxes but they probably would be the same anywhere! The schools were awesome! Very nice people, you rarely hear of any crime. Very Clean. Its an appropriate place for kids. You never see gangs and stuff. Its nice and quiet! Safe from natural disasters! No Tornadoes have ever hit here. You get the odd bad thunderstorm but it passes. There are alot of nice sceneric places! Theres Bronte Creek and theres rivers and stuff. Very green! Good influences. Every neighbourhood is nice! You never find a bad one here. There is no Riff Raff and very low nosey people. You get your privacy.

The word you tried to spell is "cul de sac." English people use it as a fancy way of saying "dead end." In French it's an expression with the same meaning, but the literal translation is "bag's a*s." Any town in southern Canada isn't going to be cold "all the time" and will certainly have 4 distinct seasons. The only place where it doesn't get too cold is Vancouver and Victoria. Southern Ontario has milder winters and cooler summers, while Alberta has hotter summers and colder winters. Alberta has the lowest taxes in Canada, so if that's really a priority, then I guess Alberta it is! The two largest cities in Alberta are Calgary and Edmonton. Some other smaller cities are Red Deer, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Grande Prairie... In Southern Ontario, besides Toronto, there's London, Windsor, Sarnia, Niagara Falls...

Delaware. It is 20 mins outside of London Ontario. It's in southwestern Ontario. The summers are hot. It's close to lots of beaches and it's a beautiful area. The winters are cold and usually there is a lot of snow. Tons of places to go cross country skiing, and a few places close to go downhill skiing. I think it ticks all of the things that you have asked for. It's It's also close to the University of Western Ontario and Fanshawe College which are both in London. Google it on maps so you can see what it looks like. Its close to big cities for days out as well. Toronto is about 2 hours, Niagara Fall is just less then 2 hours away. It's also about 2 hours to the border with the USA in several different directions. Public transit is horrible though but that's the same for pretty much everywhere in Ontario except for Toronto and Ottawa. You need to get a licence and drive one you can.
