Why do Canadians slaughter defenseless beavers and eat their tails?

Do Canadians do the fork thing like Americans or do they eat like Europeans?

  • In France we cut the meat and eat it with the fork in the left hand. So do the Spaniards and the British. Americans put utensils down and switch the fork to the right hand before picking up and eating the meat. How do Canadians eat? The American way or the French way??? Thank you.

I was always taught that the proper way to eat is to hold the fork in the left hand and the knife in the right hand. I do it that way if the food I'm eating requires a fork and knife, but if it only requires a fork, I hold the fork in my right hand if I'm not in polite company.

Sort of neither and both. We hold the knife, left hand, facing down to eat meat which is cut, and then bring that had to our mouth. OTOH, for things like the vegetables, or mashed potato, we switch hands, and have the fork up. So, switching yes, but, not always.

Put the utensils down and switch hands to eat? lol no I don`t do that whats the point is one hand more capable of holding the fork than the other. I guess I eat like the Europeans.

I'm right handed and I hold the fork in the right hand. I also don't put it up and down, switching with the knife. I think Canadians just eat which ever way they are most comfortable. It's not like we are Lilliputions who have to cut our eggs from the small end "just because".
